The workshop took place at the facilities of the Flemish government in the Dirk Bouts Building in Leuven, on Tuesday 9th of July. The event concluded with a field visit to the agroforestry test plots at Praktijkpunt Landbouw Vlaams-Brabant in Herent.

The workshop began with an initial session on agroforestry consulting, focusing on various modules tailored to the needs of Belgian members and the validation of the main extension services protocol. Participating farmers also expressed interest in developing modules or courses to enable farmers to advise one another on agroforestry practices.
In the second session, participants were introduced to different dissemination materials. They were invited to collaborate on creating materials using examples from their own farms and to suggest specific topics they wanted to see addressed.
The final session concentrated on the AF4EU Knowledge Platform and Agroforestry Business Models. Participants engaged in a practical exercise to identify flaws in selected value chains across Europe, proposing new inputs, outputs, and products. The initial design of the AFI-BUS DDS was also presented, and attendees were asked to provide feedback on its usefulness and potential improvements.
The meeting concluded with a field visit to the agroforestry test plots at Praktijkpunt Vlaams-Brabant, a research and advisory center dedicated to sustainable agricultural practices and innovation in the Flemish Brabant region of Belgium.
