University of Santiago de Compostela (USC)

USC is a public university dedicated to the preservation, generation, transmission and dissemination of knowledge in a socially responsible way and in connection with the demands and challenges of Galician society.

The Silvopast research group’s mission is to promote rural development through the transfer of knowledge on agroforestry systems to companies and administrations, as a valuable element for improving the quality of products and services, and competitiveness, in the pursuit of sustainable and environmentally friendly agroforestry management.

CNR-IRET

CNR-IRET conducts studies on the structure, functioning, and productivity of terrestrial ecosystems, including the biotic and abiotic components and their interactions. These investigations are closely linked to global change and the anthropic pression. It has 69 researchers and technologists as permanent staff and 25 scientists on various research contracts.

European Forest Institute (EFI)

EFI specialises in providing research and policy support on forest-related issues. They facilitate and stimulate forest-related networking and promote the dissemination of unbiased and policy-relevant information on forests. They also advocate for forest research and the use of scientifically sound information as a basis for forest policy.

Agricultural University of Athens (AUA)

The Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) offers high-level undergraduate and postgraduate Education and Research in Agricultural Science, and its vision is to achieve Educational and Research Excellence so as to occupy a dynamic position in the international academic environment.

Moreover, it is in continuous contact with society so as to suggest proposals and provide solutions to problems that arise within the agri-nutrition sector.

TEAGASC

Teagasc – the Agriculture and Food Development Authority – is the national body providing integrated research, advisory and training services to the agriculture and food industry and rural communities.

Ver de Terre VDT

Ver de Terre production is an organization for training and disseminating agroecological practices and living soils. Since 2017, it has been organizing training cycles for farmers, para-agriculturalists, industry professionals and curious individuals.

In this dynamic of sharing knowledges, Ver de Terre production provides open-source tools, as its Youtube channel.

FEUGA

With more than 40 years of experience, FEUGA has established itself as a reference organisation in Galicia in the field of knowledge transfer, acting as a catalyst to strengthen ties and promote the transfer of technology and innovation between universities, industrial agents and society in general.

At European level, FEUGA has become an expert and reference organisation in the fields of communication, dissemination, Intellectual Property (IP) and exploitation of R&D results, with special focus on Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) strategies and multi-actor approach methodologies design and operationalization.

University of Gent (UGent)

Ghent University employs more than 8,000 people, has 11 faculties and more than 80 departments offering state-of-the-art study programs grounded in research in a wide range of academic fields.

The UGent-Woodlab research group is part of the department of Environment, situated at the Faculty of Bioscience Engineering at Ghent University, Belgium.  Their focus is on the sustainability of the forest-wood chain with emphasis on methodology development, to improve the management of our natural capital, and to to raise awareness in society about the importance of forests and wood.

Instituto Politécnico de Bragaça (IPB)

The Polytechnic Institute of Bragança is a public institution of higher education, committed to offering quality training and promoting research and extension activities with an impact on the economic, social and cultural environment.

Their aim is to play a role as a motor of development for the region and assert ourselves in the national, European and international space.

National Forest Centre (NFC)

The NFC is a semi-budgetary forestry institution established by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on 1 January 2006 with the aim of providing a modern national platform for the integration of forestry research, planning, consultancy, continuing education and forestry practice into a coherent unit capable of responding better to the challenges facing forestry in the 21st century.

AGAPA

AGAPA is a public agency attached to the Regional Ministry for Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Sustainable Development of the Andalusian Regional Government. It bases its activity on the development of policies related to the agricultural, livestock, fishing, and rural development sectors. It has been at the service of the rural environment and the Andalusian agricultural and fisheries sector for more than 30 years.

ZALF

ZALF mission is related with the delivery of solutions for an economically, environmentally and socially sustainable agriculture together with society. 

ZALF research is integrated systems research: starting from processes in soils and plants to causal relationships on the field and landscape level up to global impacts and complex interactions between landscapes, society, and economy.
