Here we go again! In order to start our second year of AF4EU we celebrated the 4th consortium meeting of the project in Karpenissi, Greece, hosted by our partners of the Agricultural University of Athens.
We were very excited to witness the progress made in the Greek RAIN and discover the beauty of the region through a visit to the local farmers involved in AF4EU, as a starting-point for the three-day agenda.
Later on that day, the focus lied on discussing the coordination of the project, the outcomes from the first RAIN and preparation of the second, the development of AF business models, as well as the presentation of the format of the main materials to be produced (videos, DST, technical reports, the first design of AFi-Bus DSS).
On the second day, the main topics were the communication and dissemination of the project, conducting a survey and asking the different participants to interact and give their opinions. The meeting closed with a debate of the next steps to take regarding the project.
Finally, the agenda concluded with a visit during the last day to the experimental sites of the Department of Xiromero, Aetoloakarnania, where we were able to witness different agroforestry practices, while enjoying breathtaking views.
