AF4EU Final Consortium Meeting held in Brussels

The final consortium meeting of AF4EU was held on November 10th 2025 at Fundación Galicia Europa headquarters in Brussels, bringing together project partners for the last in-person session of the initiative. The event marked a key milestone within the final series of AF4EU activities, serving both as a space for reflection and as a springboard for future collaboration.

The morning opened with a sequence of presentations dedicated to the final outcomes of each Work Package. The CNR team initiated the session with an overview of WP1, highlighting the coordination of the Regional Agroforestry Innovation Networks (RAINs) and the celebration of Regional Events in each country. They were followed by ZALF, who summarised the outcomes of WP2, focusing on agroforestry related business models.

Next, Teagasc presented the conclusions of WP3, offering insights into the integration of agroforestry into extension services. Their presentation was followed by AUA, who took the floor to discuss WP4 results, focusing on dissemination materials production and knowledge sharing.

After a short coffee break, the meeting resumed with the remaining technical sessions. AUA shared the final perspectives from WP5, centred on the AF4EU Knowledge Platform. FEUGA then presented the highlights of WP6, which addressed communication, dissemination, and exploitation of results, underlining the project’s efforts to reach a wide audience across Europe. Finally, USC presented the achievements of WP7, focusing on project coordination, impact assessment, and lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle.

The session concluded with a wrap-up discussion, where all partners reflected on the project’s overall impact, key achievements, and potential synergies for future initiatives. The dialogue underlined the consortium’s shared commitment to ensuring that AF4EU’s results continue to support the development of sustainable and resilient agroforestry systems in Europe.
